Does fast charging really damage batteries?
Recent power bank recall incidents involving major brands highlight the importance of strict quality control in the mobile charging industry. Shenzhen Dipinle Technology explains how reliable charger manufacturers ensure product safety and stable supply.
Power Bank Recall Impact: What It Means for Charger Manufacturers and Buyers
China's civil aviation authority has rolled out a new rule: from June 28, 2025, power banks without a 3C mark, with an indistinct 3C mark, or of recalled models/batches are banned from domestic flights. (3C certification – "China Compulsory Certification" – has applied to power banks since August 1, 2023; uncertified ones have been barred from production and sales since August 1, 2024.)
The release of new regulations for power banks
Shortly after multiple power bank brands announced the recall of products with self-ignition risks, IT Home uncovered a bombshell—all 3C certificates for batteries/cell cores from Amperes (Wuxi) Co., Ltd., the battery supplier, have been suspended or revoked!
The company, a joint venture between U.S.-based Amperes and Wuxi Industrial Group, is a "giant" in the consumer lithium battery sector, having supplied power banks, power tools, mobile phones, laptops, and even drones.
The self-ignition crisis of power banks has escalated. 3C certificates of major battery manufacturers have all been revoked or suspended. Please conduct self-inspections of these products immediately.
